When Emad returns home one night to find Rana has been attacked in their new home by one of the previous occupant's clients, the violent incident causes cracks to appear in the couple's previously stable and happy marriage.
Rana, shaken and afraid, pleads with Emad to go to the police but he would rather find the attacker himself and have his revenge. The film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
